Splash page

The aim is to grab the viewer's attention and immediately communicate a feel of the event style. Although this is really the home page for the event, its function to promote the event and create interest is more the function of the splash page.

The first questions to consider are:

1. Does it look good and enhance the event theme/style?
2. Is it quick to load?
3. Can the viewer get to the relevant information quickly?

On this page could be :

• Map of event site
• Photos of past event - giving an indication of the style of the event and type of people who attend.
• Quotes of interest
• .......
