Artwork on
ticket: does it contain the following?
- Name of the
event
- Number of the
ticket
- Date and time
of the event
- Contact details
for information
- Price and level
of the ticket ie. discount, complementary, full price, early bird
- Possible artwork
so that ticket could be kept by the patron as a souvenir
- Seating number
or designated area - by ticket colour
- Disclaimer,
in particular the responsibility of the event promoter
- Event information,
e.g. map/warnings/what to bring
Printing schedule
- When will the
tickets be ready?
- Will the tickets
be delivered or do they have to be collected?
- If there is
an error or a large demand for the tickets will there be time for more to
be printed?
Distribution
- What outlets
will be used - Retail, Ticketek, Internet, mail or at the gate?
- Has a letter
of agreement with all distributors, setting out terms and conditions, been
signed?
- What method
of payment will be used - both by the ticket buyer to the distributor and
in the final reconciliation - credit card, cash, or direct deposit?
- Are schedule
of payment and the reconciliation form available?
- Does the schedule
of communication referring to the sale of tickets indicate how are they going
and if more are needed?
Collection
of tickets
- Collection
of ticket at gate and its transfer to a passout
- Personnel -
number and experience including arrival and departure times
- Site of ticket
collection - is a separate table for complementary tickets needed?
- Security for
cash and personnel
- Disposal of
tickets
Reconciliation
of number of tickets with revenue received
- Method of reconciliation
- using an accountant?
- Schedule -
is the reconciliation ongoing, or at the conclusion of the event, or at the
end of the month?
- Separate account
- an account set up just for that one event to assist the accountancy procedure
