ACEA reveiced an invitation and visited Energy Australia Solar Power site at the Olympic Park, Homebush by executive members of Australian Chinese Engineers Association on 2 August 2000. Mr. Zhao Xiao-lin, Consul of Sciense & Technology, Consulate-General of the PRC as a guest attended the visviting. Visiting Chinese Universities After an official invitation recieved from Heilongjiang Provincial Government, People's Republic of China, Victor Fang visited China in August 1998. Victor visited Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin University of Science and Technology, Heilongjiang Provincial Government Science & Technology Information Centre, China Telecom Information Centre in Harbin, and Beijing Capital University of Medical Sciences. Victor Fang gave several lectures in data communication networks during the visit. During the visit, Victor held several meetings with the Chairman of the Provincial Science and Technology Committee, Directors of the Information centres and the university President and the university Head of departments. On invitation, the members of the ACEA, Australian Chinese Engineers Association Committee visited the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Sydney on September 16, 1997. The President of the Association, Chris Cheng, Vice President Prof. Jang Yekang, Sidney Lan, Executive Secretary James Yu and Committee Executive Member Victor Fang, Dr. Xue Shicheng and Tong Chong attended the visit. During the visit, the Consul General, Wu Keming (rank of Ambassador), Consul (Education) Yang Xiaochun and Consul Liu Yongfang attended the meeting. On invitation, the President of the Association, Chris Cheng, Executive Secretary James Yu and Committee Executive Member Victor Fang also visited the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Sydney on September 17, 1997. The Director General of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Sydney, Madam Maggie Taiching Tien attended the meeting. Other attendants were Director Carl Shen and Executive Officer Chien Hungsheng. After the meeting, the Director General, Madam Tien invited the ACEA visitors for a lunch in MLC Centre, Sydney.
