Overseas Connections

  • The Shanghai Association for Science & Technology Website Home Page has been linked with ACEA's Home Page. This was promised by ACEA during the meeting with Mr. Lui Haitao, Executive Vice President of Shanghai Association for Science & Technology, Head of the Chinese Science and Technology Delegation.

    The meeting between the ACEA, Australian Chinese Engineers Association and Shanghai Association for Science & Technology (SAST) was held in Royal Garden International Hotel, Sydney on May 14, 1999, and the two parties agreed to establish the Internet Website link between the two organisations.

    ACEA President James Yu (Soul Pattinson Pharmacy Laboratory), Executive Secretary Victor Fang (Sydney University) and Executive Member Dr. Judy Cao (Manidis Roberts Consultants), Dr. Xie Shicheng (Sydney University), Zhu Chongjie (Transfield) and George Tong (Sydney University) attended the meeting.

  • The ACEA, Australian Chinese Engineers Association Committee executive member Victor Fang, met Prof. He Lian, the President of the Heilongjiang Provicial Association of Overseas Science and Technology Exchange, Vice President, Dong Rulin and Director Li Fan in Harbin during his visit in China on August 20, 1998. The two parties have exchanged the magazines and established a professional connection and a good relationship.

    Prof. He also met Victor Fang in Sydney during his visit in 1997 as the Head of Chinese Science and Technology Delegation.

  • The ACEA, Australian Chinese Engineers Association has established a professional relationship with the Chinese Institute of Engineers. The Association currently receives monthly magazines from the Institution each month.

    The ACEA contributes some articles to the Institute as well.
