People rarely flee a country because they are happy there and fleeing a rarely goes smoothly and many of Australia’s new citizens from places such as Vietnam, El Salvador, Afghanistan, Chile, Cambodia, Sri Lanka and Iran, will have experienced, traumas in their own countries, traumas during their flights or may have been tortured prior to escaping.
