Chris is a Consultation-Liaison Psychiatrist and Director of the Consultation-Liaison Unit at Westmead Hospital. He finished his medical degree at Sydney University in 1986 and after two years of general medicine began his psychiatry training at Westmead.
Having gained his Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, he took up a position as a consultation-liaison psychiatrist at Nepean Hospital before returning to Westmead in 1995. He was appointed a clinical lecturer at The University of Sydney in 1994.
Chris provides a specialist liaison service to Westmead's Radiation Oncology Department. He is also responsible for co-ordinating medical student teaching in psychiatry for Sydney University's Western Clinical School. His primary research interest is in the field of medical ethics and his list of recent publications reflect this interest.
Chris is also one of the more computer-literate of the department and so the task of coordinating the web pages you are now reading fell to him. He is also a keen theatre go-er and cricket spectator.
He is married to Josephine Anderson, a Child Psychiatrist and the Director of the Acute Adolescent Unit at Westmead. They have one son, Tristan.
